M.E. Farris

M.E. Farris on BassM. E. Farris' bass playing is heavily influenced by the blues from the Mississippi Delta. Raised in Vicksburg, M.E. names Felix Pappalardi and Paul McCartney as his inspirations. His relocation to Arkansas in the early 1980's brought his soulful thumping sound to the Ozarks where he's lent his rhythm to several bands including the Jokers Wild Band, Slowtowne Slew and, of course, the Slowtowne Serenaders.

"Blue" Stew Kyle

"Blue" Stew KyleSinger-songwriter Stew Kyle began his music career as a child in Southeast Georgia, playing music in church with his family. But an electric guitar, a knack for rock-n-roll and an ear for the soulful blues soon had Stew touring Southern Georgia and Northern Florida. After relocating to Northwest Arkansas, Stew and M.E. met and began their twenty-plus year collaboration on creating great sounds.

Michael Belcher

Michael Belcher

At the age of 6, with the help of Mel Bay Books, Mike taught himself some simple songs and chords on his first guitar. As an USAF "brat", Mike's guitar was his constant companion and a second guitar encouraged Mike to learn everything he could. Like most of that generation, Mike's early influences included the Beatles, CCR and the rock-n-roll of the late 60's and early 70's. A stint in the Army took Mike to Germany where he stayed and played music professionally through the 90's before coming to Northwest Arkansas in 1999. Mike enjoys playing the blues, rock and a little country now and then.

Phil Murphy

Phil Murphy Bio PicPhil began his journey in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A jazz drummin' uncle influenced young Phil to pick up the sticks and pound the skins. Gaining experience playing the house party circuit in California. Phil returned to Northwest Arkansas for high school just as the R&B craze was gaining traction in the area. With Tulsa on his mind, Phil moved to Oklahoma and played with a variety of bands. Eventually the Ozarks beckoned him home and Phil returned to his roots in Arkansas playing with 2002's most original blues band "Slop House", as well as several other bands.
